The five-year strategy will reform planning and development services, as well as offering a firm foundation for investment in the city.
Future development sites and the scale of development expected on each of the identified sites are mapped out, including expectations of high quality design and infrastructure delivery by developers for sites such as Grandhome, Newhills and Countesswells.

In addition, the need for 'masterplans' to be drawn up and the importance of local community involvement is also highlighted.
Council Leader Jenny Laing said: "In 2012, we were the first Scottish local authority to deliver a Local Development Plan and are now the first to adopt a second.
"This shows our dedication and ambitions to improve our planning processes and create new possibilities on how we can make Aberdeen an attractive, prosperous and sustainable place in which to live, visit and do business.
"The Plan will ensure that developments are encouraged in the right places, are efficient and make the best use of our existing resources."
