Ryden has appointed building surveyor Doug Garden as Head of Project & Building Consultancy in Aberdeen.

The firm has also made Mr Garden a partner at the company.

He will replace Ken Macpherson who is leaving Ryden to join Dunecht Estates.

Previously, Mr Garden led the Building Consultancy department of Knight Frank. As well as providing building consultancy services, he assisted the co-directors with the transfer of the Chesterton business in Aberdeen to Knight Frank in 2004.

With a history of design and project management of prominent new-build commercial properties in Aberdeen, Mr Garden is currently leading a team monitoring the £50 million Peterhead Port Authority inner harbour redevelopment project.
