A joint venture (JV) between Black & Veatch, Galliford Try and MWH is to begin on a water infrastructure upgrade project in South Ayrshire.
Efficient Service Delivery (ESD) will start work to upgrade Coylton (Joppa) Waste Water Treatment Works on 23 January.
The project includes installing 1.2 miles of new sewers in the Coylton area. The improvement work, which will improve water quality in the Byres Burn and Water of Coyle, is expected to be completed in a year.
In order to carry out the scheme safely, traffic management will be implemented on the A70 Ayr Road to the west of Coylton, near the junction with Westpark Farm road end as construction vehicles will be operating in the area.
