Work is continuing on a new £7.4 million care home project in Edinburgh.

The 74-bed scheme is being delivered by Marshall Construction on behalf of Walker Healthcare in Cramond.

Once completed, the site will provide care services for older people and will include a wide range of shared living spaces such as small dining rooms, lounges and activities rooms.

Gareth Bland, Business Development Manager for Marshall Construction, said: "We are delighted to be working with Walker Healthcare, Jones Associates and the rest of the Design Team on this fantastic project.

"This is a major development for Marshall Construction which is providing another opportunity for local job creation as well as new apprenticeships, work placements and curriculum support for local colleges and schools."

Marshall won the contract by competitive tender via Jones Associates, Glasgow (Chartered Quantity Surveyors & Project Managers).
