Esh Border Construction has completed a £1.6 million school expansion project in West Lothian.
The contractor has built two new classrooms and a gym hall at St. Nicholas Primary School in Broxburn.
Other features include a new pedestrian entrance as well as new electrical, water and heating systems. In addition, a new IT system has also been provided with wireless access, and new smartboards installed in the classrooms.
The project was managed by the council's Construction Services team, in conjunction with Anderson Bayne Architects and Esh Border Construction.
Speaking while opening the new extension, Council Leader John McGinty said: "I'm delighted to declare the new extension to St Nicholas Primary officially open.
"The new hall will make a real difference to the whole school community, encouraging physical activity and bringing everyone together for assemblies and other special events."
Chris Wilson from Esh Border Construction added: "Esh Border Construction are delighted to have been involved with West Lothian Council and St Nicholas School to provide this fantastic facility for the kids and school to enjoy and prosper for years to come."
