Work has started on a new housing development in Livingston.
A total of 44 new homes are being developed on the former Lammermuir office block site and completion is scheduled for the end of August 2017.
It includes a mix of cottage flats, houses and wheelchair accessible bungalows. The development will contribute towards the council's £100 million investment to build 1,000 new social homes.
Councillor George Paul said: "We are delighted to see the development of new homes for rent at Lammermuir taking place. Affordable housing is in high demand throughout Scotland and West Lothian is no different in that respect.
"The new housing at Lammermuir will deliver affordable and conveniently located homes for West Lothian residents. I look forward to seeing the new homes completed and local residents moving in.
"This project is about more than just providing much needed homes, it is also providing community benefits for local employers and local people."
