A new multi-storey car park is set to open later this week in Perth.
The development on Canal Street was part of a £1.7 million refurbishment and will open again to the public on Saturday, 19 November.
While some final stages of work are still to be completed, the car park is expected to become fully operational in early December.
The refurbishment programme has included:
• A Pay on Foot car parking operating system where customers are advised of the amount to pay before leaving the car park
• Wider (2.5m) parking spaces
• Wider approaches to up and down ramps
• Improved lighting
• New closed circuit television
• Electric charging points (4)
• Improved control room facilities
• Improved facilities for Perth Shopmobility
• Enhanced disabled parking
• Enhanced parent and children parking
• Enhanced motorcycle parking
• Enhanced cycle parking
• New graphics
• A new reflective paint scheme
Cllr John Kellas said he was "thrilled" the car park will be open in time for the Christmas Light Switch On and Community Cultural Day events this weekend.
"I would like to express my thanks to the contractors and officers from the Council for their dedication to delivering this project as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise the impact on residents and visitors," he said.
