Work is to begin on building a new 43-space car park in Greenock, Inverclyde.
The facility is being developed on the site of the now demolished Dalrymple House on Dalrymple Street.
Construction is scheduled to begin on 14 November, with completion expected by the end of February 2017.
Once completed, the site will comprise of 43 car parking spaces including three dedicated spaces for disabled drivers.
Cllr Michael McCormick said: "The car park has taken a little bit longer to get started because of unexpected complications with the demolition of the former building. Work is now starting and expected to be completed by February.
"The car park will deliver new spaces into the town centre. The former Dalrymple House was a building with no future ahead of it, so delivering some practical use for that space will be welcomed by shoppers and the many other visitors to the town centre."
