Davidsons Blast Services (DBS) has been granted permission to expand its blasting and painting facility in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.
The company will develop new offices at its one-acre site on Dales Industrial Estate and completion is scheduled for February 2017.
The scheme will create room for in house training, conferencing facilities and potential employment growth in its quality control and business development functions.
Bruce Davidson, managing director of DBS, said: "Since opening our blast cleaning and coatings facility in 2010, we have concentrated our investment in our workshop areas ensuring operations run at maximum efficiency.
"Investment in these areas have been implemented strategically and are key to ensuring DBS's continued success offering a first-class service, delivered on time and within the customer's budget.
"Although it is currently a challenging climate for our industry, we believe this upgrade is necessary for the growth and further development of our services, as well as enhancing the skills we already have through running in-house training."
North-East based DBS provides blast cleaning and application of protective coatings to the oil and gas, marine and subsea industries.
