Industry supplier A&W Sinclair has won a contract to help upgrade access to a beach in the Highlands.

The civil engineering company will start work to improve access to Reiss Beach in Caithness on Monday, 07 November. The scheme is scheduled for completion on 05 December, depending on the weather.

The council said: "The carpark will remain open for the duration of the work phase; however, there will be unavoidable path closure for periods of time throughout the works.

"There will be signage in place to advise of alternative route and closures will be kept to a minimal as practically possible."
