Scotland TranServ is underway with a £650,000 maintenance project on the A77 road.
The company is carrying out improvement works across three locations of the route on behalf of Transport Scotland.
The works, which involve resurfacing two miles of the route over a 21-day period, will help upgrade the road for around 4,000 vehicles which use the road every day.
Scotland TranServ's operating company representative, Andy Fraser said: "This significant investment will ensure that the A77 is maintained to a good standard and can withstand the impact of the 4,000 vehicles which travel on this route each day.
"We have made every effort to programme these works over the shortest period of time, therefore reducing disruption to road users; however motorists particularly those use the ferry ports should plan their journeys accordingly."
Details of the projects are as follows:
• A77 Bridgemill to Girvan Mains – 24 hour working from 8pm on Friday, 21 October until 6am on Monday, 24 October
• A77 Minnybae – 24 hour working from 8pm on Friday, 28 October until 6am on Monday 31 October.
• A77 Ardwell – 24 hour working from 8pm on Friday, 04 November until 6am on Monday, 07 November.
