Work is to begin on a £150,000 road maintenance project on the M74 motorway.
Scotland Transerv will start resurfacing and replacing barriers to the off slip at Junction 9 in Kirkmuirhill from Wednesday, 26 October.
The two-stage scheme will improve the integrity of the off slip for more than 15,000 vehicles which use the route every day.
For safety reasons, the route will be closed from 8pm – 6am on 26, 27, and 28 October. Further closures will take place between 6am and 8pm from 31 October to 01 November.
Daytime lane closures will also be required on the slip road and hard shoulder of the southbound carriageway from 6am – 8pm on 27 October to 28 October.
Andy Fraser, operating company representative, Scotland TranServ said: "We have considered all the available alternative methods to carry out these works as safely and as quickly as possible, and overnight closures present the safest option, whilst helping to minimise disruption to road users."
