Guardian Systems (Scotland) has been placed into liquidation with the loss of 44 jobs.
The Stirling-based windows and doors manufacturer had a turnover close to £1.5 million at the start of the year, but a substantial fall in orders during the summer led to "major cash flow problems and unsustainable losses".
An associate company, Guardian Soft Furnishings, has also been placed into liquidation.
Derek Forsyth, Head of Restructuring and Insolvency at accountants Campbell Dallas, said: "Guardian Systems (Scotland) and Guardian Soft Furnishings were well-known in their markets, and had good quality clients. It is unfortunate that a number of factors created significant problems that ultimately caused both businesses to be placed in liquidation."
Campbell Dallas added it will provide "every possible support" to employees affected by the closure.
