Residents are being invited to attend a drop-in session to help create a draft onshore wind energy policy guidance for Moray.
A nine-week consultation is underway to help create the blueprint, which will set out the local authority's approach to considering and determining wind energy planning applications, as well as making observations on development proposals to the Scottish Government.
In addition, the guidance will set out requirements and issues to be addressed at pre-application and application stages, as well as an overall strategy for wind turbine development, including spatial framework and detailed policy guidance maps for three typologies of turbine development.
Links to the extensive range of detailed guidance produced by the council and consultees will also be developed, including contact details.
The informational session will take place from 3pm – 8pm at New Elgin Hall on Monday, 17 October.
