Work has begun on the second phase of a council housing development in Fife.
The next stage of the project will see eight properties developed in the King Street area of Cowdenbreath. 21 homes have already been completed at the site.
Each home has Secure by Design status, a Police Scotland accredited initiative which means they assess all sites before, during and after construction to give their approval that the properties are secured from potential crime.
The new homes are being built as part of the council's plan to deliver 2,700 'affordable' homes by 2017 and are scheduled for completion before March next year.
