The final phase of a £650,000 road improvement programme is to begin in North Ayrshire.
Scotland TranServ will start renewing over 40 metres of road surface on the A78 through Largs Main Street from Monday, 07 October.
The works will help improve the route for over 4,500 vehicles which travel through the town centre each day.
For safety reasons, a full road closure will be in place between Bath Street and Gogo Street from 8pm – 6am until Monday, 10 October.
Scotland TranServ's operating company representative, Andy Fraser said: "The works in Largs Main Street are the final phase in a £650k investment to deliver essential road improvements to the A78 through Ayrshire.
"We understand the importance of this route for tourists, road haulage companies, ferry operators and the local community of Largs and have carried out extensive consultation to ensure the works are delivered out with the busy summer season.
"We would like to thank the local community and road users for their patience whilst this final round of improvements are delivered."
