CCG has started work to deliver a new residential housing development in Dundee.
The contractor will build 17 new homes as well as a block of six 'affordable' flats at Glamis Road. Work on the 'Lochlee Wynd' development is due to be complete in March 2017.
The 'Blackwood Concept House' flat complex will reach three-storeys and is to use bespoke smart technology to enhance the care and support of its tenants.
The facility will be built using an enhanced stage of CCG OSM's closed panel timber frame system and complete with a lightweight cladding solution supplied by Alumasc Facades, replicating a traditional brick façade by using individual acrylic 'brick slips'. Other features will include energy saving measures such as solar PV panels installed on the roof.
Calum Murray, Director of CCG (Scotland), said: "This is CCG's first construction project in Dundee and one that we are very excited about as it further extends the reach of our business across Scotland. We have a strong track record in the delivery of private housing with recent developments in Glasgow and Edinburgh and we are confident that the homes on offer at 'Lochlee Wynd' will be in high demand.
"We also look forward to continuing our work with Blackwood over the coming months to deliver the hugely innovative 'Concept House' which will truly change the lives of their tenants."
