Work is continuing on a £1.7 million car park refurbishment project in Perth.
Contractors are progressing ahead of schedule with upgrades to the Canal Street multi-storey car park and the site is due to be fully operational by early December.
Features of the improvement programme includes enhanced/wider parking spaces, improved lighting, new closed circuit television, wider approaches to up and down ramps, new electric charging points, new graphics and a new reflective paint scheme.
The upgrade is part of the council's on-going programme of improvements to parking within Perth City Centre and across the wider region.
Cllr John Kellas said: "It is fantastic that these refurbishment works are moving along much faster than anticipated and that we will hopefully be able to have the car park back in use in time for one of the busiest times of the year for Perth.
"This investment along with the other major redevelopment works currently underway will help to improve the wonderful offering we have here in Perth city and I look forward to receiving more news about good progress being made."
