Macleod Roofing is to begin a £1 million repairs project at Forres Academy.
The contractor will begin replacing the flat roofed area of the school from Wednesday, 05 October.
The first phase of the scheme is due to be completed by the end of this year, with subsequent phases finished by June 2017, depending on weather conditions.
A council spokesperson said: "Leaks in the flat roof have been a constant problem for the school but thankfully they will soon be a thing of the past.
"The contractors will be working closely with the school to ensure that health and safety issues are the paramount consideration while these works are in progress and that disruption to pupils, staff and neighbours is kept to a minimum for the duration of the contract."
