Malcolm Construction is continuing work to build a new 3G pitch in Hawick.
The contractor has brought in a new paving machine to install the layers needed below the sports facility at Volunteer Park.
As well as laying the rubber shock pad and artificial surface, works will be carried out at Volunteer Park car park to provide an improved entrance road and new footways.
A temporary flood bund will also be developed to protect Buccleuch Road until the proposed Hawick Flood Protection Scheme is confirmed.
Cllr Gordon Edgar said: "I am pleased to see the progress being made at Hawick 3G pitch and look forward to the facility opening in the coming months.
"While there is inevitably some disruption due to the construction activities, the project team is making every effort to minimise the disturbance to the public and maintain access to all facilities."
