Babcock has secured a major contract to help deliver a new offshore wind farm project in the Outer Moray Firth.

The Fife-based engineering company will build two Offshore Transformer Modules (OTM) for the £2.6 billion Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Limited (BOWL) project.

The firm will work alongside Siemens to develop the OTM's during the first half of 2018. Each transformer is suitable for 300MW and will help power around 450,000 homes.
