Scotland TranServ is to begin a £100,000 road maintenance scheme in West Dunbartonshire.
The company will begin the project on the A82 at Stoneymollan Roundabout on Monday, 05 September.
Works include resurfacing the northbound carriageway to improve skid resistance as well as replacing nine joints on Howgate Bridge, near Renton.
In order to complete the project safely, a full road closure will be in place between 8pm - 6am from 05 – 10 September, as well as 12 – 14 September.
Scotland TranServ's operating company representative, Andy Fraser said: "This essential road safety scheme will improve the grip on the road surface and therefore help to reduce accidents on the northbound approach to Stoneymollan Roundabout.
"We are also taking the opportunity to replace nine of the existing joints on Howgate Bridge, which will only serve to enhance the long term resilience of the structure.
"We have considered all the available options in terms of traffic management and with safety a top priority it is vital that we carry out the works overnight to protect road users and our operatives."
