Contractors are being invited to find out information on an upcoming £250 million housing upgrade programme in Aberdeenshire.

The council is preparing to carry out improvements to 11,000 local authority homes over a four-year period.

The scheme comprises of External Improvements (including roofing upgrade works, windows and external doors replacements), Internal improvements (including heating systems, rewiring, kitchen and bathroom upgrades) and Energy Efficiency improvements (including photovoltaics and external, internal and cavity wall insulation).

Small, medium and large contractors are now being invited to attend a 'Meet the Buyer' event at Woodhill House in Westburn Road between 9.30am – 1pm on Friday, 19 August.

The exhibition will reveal opportunities for supply chain collaboration in delivering the programme.

The council said its Head of Property and Facilities Management, as well as the Head of Housing, will outline the Housing Stock Improvement Programme and give more information as to how suppliers can get involved. There will also be a Q&A session and the opportunity for suppliers to network after the presentation.
