BAM Construction has selected Bruce Dickson as its regional director in Scotland.

Mr Dickson will take up his new role today, 01 August and takes over from Douglas Keillor, who has been promoted to executive director of BAM Construction UK.

Having previously joined the company as a project surveyor in 1992, Mr Dickson held various roles in the business before becoming the commercial director for Scotland in 2009.

As a member of the Construction Scotland Industry Leadership Group, Mr Dickson currently chairs the organisation's Procurement Implementation Group consulting with Scottish Government on the implementation of the Procurement Review White Paper.

In addition, he sits on the board of the Scottish Contractors Group, is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has been a guest lecturer at the University Of Edinburgh School Of Architecture since 2008.
