Work Complete On West Lothian Housing Development

Work has been completed on a new housing development in West Lothian.

A total of 14 council homes have been built at Pumpherston as part of the local authority's 1,000 new homes project.

The development consists of a mix of one- and two-bedroom cottage flats and bungalows.

Cllr George Paul said: "It's tremendous that work is now complete at Pumpherston which provides well-designed modern homes for residents in West Lothian.

"Working with construction partners, the council is ensuring that providing new council housing also brings wider benefits to the community such as apprenticeships and employment for local businesses."

The council is aiming to complete its new housing programme by April 2017.
