McLaughlin & Harvey (McL&H) has been selected to deliver a new office development project in Glasgow.

The firm will refurbish the Highlander House building in Waterloo Street.

Previously occupied by the Scottish Government, the scheme involves stripping out the eight-storey building to create a 40,000 sq ft office space featuring an enhanced entrance and enlarged reception areas.

In addition, mechanical and electrical services will be replaced while shower/changing areas will be created in the basement.

Other features including overlaying the existing roof, overcladding the lower levels with lightweight stone system and creating a new roof terrace at 2nd floor level.

Richard Restrick, Head of Fit-out at McL&H, said: "Following on from the recent completion of the fit-out of 131 St Vincent Street, it's fantastic to be carrying on in the city centre with another full building refurbishment. This work is one of the core sectors of our business and it's pleasing to see our reputation continue to grow within this sector."
