Ground Developments Ltd (GDL) is planning to upscale its piling division as part of further investment and growth.

In line with its plans, the company has selected large-scale earthworks and piling industry expert Stuart Cain as Operations Director to lead its improved division.

Mr Cain has significant experience in the industry, having worked on a number of large-scale earthworks projects across Canada, Ireland and the UK.

Earlier this year, GDL experienced a "solid start" to 2016 with an announcement of new premises and a £1 million investment in plant.

Kevin Mackenzie, Commercial Director, said: "Stuart's appointment and our commitment to upscale our piling division demonstrates both our investment, willingness and our capability to provide our services throughout the UK.

"We believe that Stuart's experience on a variety of key projects nationally will naturally complement the existing range of groundwork improvement services that we offer, and provide the perfect platform to increase the capabilities of our piling division
