HRI Architects has announced the purchase of architectural practice Thomas Munro & Co.
The two Inverness-based companies will join together to form HRI Architects incorporating Thomas Munro.
Thomas Munro's Principal, Colin Munro, will continue as a consultant at the new firm, while HRI founder Andrew Bruce will become Managing Director. HRI co-director Mark Williams will also become Technical Director.
HRI said the acquisition will bring together both expertise and experience in commercial/residential architecture, as well as historic building/conservation work.
As part of the deal, HRI will relocate to Thomas Munro & Co's premises at 62 Academy Street.
Mr Bruce said: "We are delighted to be incorporating Inverness's longest-established architectural practice to create a new, medium-sized firm – the largest locally based practice in the Highlands.
Mr Munro added: "I am pleased that the firm founded by my grandfather Thomas Munro will continue in a new form.
"I look forward to making an active contribution to the new practice."
