Lakesmere Wins £1m Contract On Aberdeen Hotel Project

Lakesmere Group has secured a £1 million contract to deliver cladding works on a new hotel development in Aberdeen.

Morgan Sindall is underway with work to build the new 126-bed Marriott Residence Inn Hotel in the city.

Lakesmere's Northern team will design and install the hotel's rainscreen package, including coloured aluminium panels. Work is due to begin in August.

Designed by architects Halliday Fraser Munro, the project forms a key part of the £107m Marischal Square city centre regeneration project.

The project includes Grade A office space with associated car parking, restaurants and civic space, new public spaces, landscaping and public realm improvements.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 2017.
