Scottish Water has began looking for contractors to prequalify for two £55 million design and build projects in Glasgow.
Each scheme involves reducing the impact of discharges to the River Clyde from the Daldowie and Dalmarnock waste water treatment works (WWTW)
The £110m contract has been divided into two sections; the first project involves designing and delivering a tertiary chemical dosing plant, while the second will see the creation of a granular activated sludge plant.
While each scheme is separate for "opportunity and flexibility", Scottish Water said it would prefer awarding both lots to one bidder.
