Work is continuing on a extensive refurbishment project in Edinburgh, CCG has confirmed.
The company's Specialist Building Services division has been on site at the Appleton Tower building since June last year.
The refurbishment involes over-cladding the external building fabric to improve its environmental performance. In addition, a new rooftop extension and revamped main entrance will be built.
The project, which is being carried out for the University of Edinburgh, includes curtain walling to the rooftop extension, installing new Schueco Curtain walling /shackerley stone cladding and new PV solar panels.
M&E services as well as internal decoration will also be carried out.
The project is on schedule to be completed by Summer 2016, while the new east entrance will be opened this Christmas.
CCG Contracts Manager, Paul Muldoon, said: "The Appleton Tower contract has been challenging due to the extent of the works as well as the knock on effect from the extreme weather during the winter period. However, the site team are doing a fantastic job which is clearly evident from the exterior progression."
