A £314,000 resurfacing project is to begin in Inverclyde, Scotland TranServ has announced.
The contractor will carry out almost 1km of resurfacing to improve the westbound A8 between Woodhall Roundabout and Newark Roundabout.
The project is due to begin on Friday, 10 June.
For safety reasons, a total closure of the westbound carriageway will be in place from 8pm on Friday until 6am on Monday, 13 June.
Diversions will be in place.
Andy Fraser, operating company representative, said: "This essential maintenance scheme will be carried out to benefit local residents and over 20,000 road users who take this route each day."
