A new £11.5 million primary school has opened in Glasgow.
The Garrowhill Primary school and nursery building was unveiled by Bailie Liz Cameron on Friday, 20 May.
Features include an all-weather 3G pitch and 17 teaching spaces arranged around three flexible teaching breakout spaces.
In addition, external play areas and large areas of roof glazing were also developed on the upper floors.
Ms Cameron said: "It is a very special day for me - this is the first school opening that I will perform since I took on my new role as executive member for education.
"It is wonderful to see how well the children and staff have settled into their state-of-the-art new school - a building that will be a joy to learn and teach in.
"This is the first of a number of new schools we are building across the city as part of our £255 million 4Rs refurbishment of primary schools and nurseries."
