Work is underway on a £33 million student accommodation project in Glasgow.
Ogilvie Construction has began building a 607-bedroom complex for Bricks Developments at Kelvinhaugh Street in Yorkhill.
The project is due to be completed ahead of the new student intake in the autumn of 2017.
The scheme will consist of three separate blocks of between five- and nine-storeys built above a semi basement parking space.
One block will be developed using traditional steel and lightweight steel framing, with the other two blocks built using a modular container system pre-fabricated and fully fitted out off site, for assembly on site.
Donald MacDonald, MD of Ogilvie Construction, said: "We are proud to be involved in such an innovative project in the city. The building will provide a uniquely modern environment for students in Glasgow, constructed to the highest standard and incorporating the latest sustainable materials and design."
