An economic report by Eildon Group has underlined its importance to the Borders region.
The 'Optimal Economics' study found that the Group, alongside fellow housing associations, makes a 'very significant' and 'on-going contribution' to the area.
The study considered three 'channels of impact': 'operations', 'capital investment' and 'community impact'.
Key features of the report found the company's operations generated around £13 million a year for the local economy, while also creating 250 jobs in the borders area.
Overall, the study found Eildon generates £16.9m for Scotland's economy.
In its study, the Group said: "The Eildon Group Strategy is focussed on further sustainable growth in its activities, and with further excellent partnership working and financial support, will be able to maintain and increase this economic contribution in the years to come."
