An environmental improvement project has been completed in East Dunbartonshire.
Scottish Water has invested around £340,000 in upgrading its waste water infrastructure to protect the River Kelvin in Bearsden.
The project was carried out by contractors George Leslie and involved installing a new Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) to reduce the number of spills from an existing CSO during heavy rainfall.
The scheme is part of Scottish Water's £250 million, five-year investment in improvements to its waste water infrastructure across the Greater Glasgow area.
Joanna Peebles, Scottish Water's regional communities team manager, said: "We are very pleased to have completed this important project, which will significantly improve the environment on the River Kelvin."
