Construction work is due to begin next month on a new Centre for Scottish War Blinded in Paisley.
The facility will enable veterans across the West of Scotland to benefit from a range of activities and support similar to what is available at the Linburn Centre in West Lothian.
The new centre has been designed by architects at Page/Park and will include:
• An art, crafts and woodwork studio
• Rehabilition and mobility support
• An IT suite
• Specialist tuition
• Sports, including a fully equipped gym, and a bowling green
• An independent living skills kitchen, where cookery courses will be run for all abilities.
The facility is scheduled to open in mid-2017.
