Mott MacDonald has selected David Webster as its highways director for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
With over 35 years' experience in the transportation sector, Mr Webster will be responsible for growing the consultancy's client base and delivering major projects within the two countries.
He also previously worked at AECOM, leading a 60-strong strategic highways Scotland team.
Mr Webster has been responsible for numerous major frameworks, including commissions from Transport Scotland plus various local authorities and passenger transport executives.
In addition, he is a former chairman of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation's Central & Southern Scotland branch.
David Tarrant, Mott MacDonald's MD for Highways, said: "David's in-depth knowledge of project management and delivery, commercial awareness and technical ability will make him a great asset to both our highways team and the wider Mott MacDonald Group."
