Work is underway on a new £2.66 million community hub in Aberdeen.
A sod-cutting ceremony was held to mark the start of construction at Middlefield on Monday, 28 March.
The project involves refurbishing and extending the Lord Provost Henry E Rae Community Centre, which will provide purpose-built accommodation for community groups and charities.
The main contractor for the development is CHAP Construction.
Housing and Infrastructure vice convener Cllr Gordon Graham said: "The new Lord Provost Henry E Rae Community Centre will make such a difference to groups who use the existing centre and for the surrounding community.
"We're looking forward to work progressing at the site and then welcoming the community in and using the centre when it's finished."
