New £70,000 Playground Unveiled In East Dunbartonshire

A new playground has been unveiled in East Dunbartonshire.

The £70,000 community facility was built in Bishopbriggs.

It was created as part of the council's ten-year Capital Programme and partly funded by Dawn Homes as part of its Kirkintilloch Road development.

Features of the development include new play equipment, multi-play units and a wetpour safety surface.

Cllr Stewart MacDonald said: "I am delighted to open this fantastic play area which I am sure is going to be a much-welcomed amenity for local children and families.

"Our thanks also go to Dawn Homes for their generous donation of £48,450 towards this project."
