Willowbank School Renews Green Flag Status

Willowbank School in East Ayrshire have renewed their green flag status.

Willowbank was the first special school to win a green Eco Flag in 2007 and they've managed to meet, sustain and renew the requirements every two years.

Councillor Stephanie Primrose, Cabinet Member for Skills and Learning, joined in the celebrations at the school. She said: "We're all very proud of the achievements of the pupils in winning this flag once more. It’s very fitting that they're sticking to eco friendly practices in a school which was purpose built to make the most of renewable energy and has a very small carbon footprint."
