Esh Construction has received an accolade for its Building My Skills programme.
The company was handed the CECA Inspiring Change in Education Award during a ceremony at the Houses of Parliament.
The Building My Skills initiative provides structured employability skills to students across northern England.
Other awards the scheme has received include a National Schools Partnership Award from Business in the Community and recognition from the Prince of Wales.
Stephen Wilkie, Regional MD of Esh Construction North East said: "This award is great recognition for the hard work the team at Esh, and the many businesses who support the programme with their time.
"Building My Skills provides young people with an invaluable insight into the workplace and helps to develop the key skills they will need to thrive."
