A £150,000 road upgrade project is due to begin in Dumfries and Galloway (D&G), Scotland TranServ has announced.
The works involve developing a new right turn lane on the A75 at Mossyard.
The eight-week project is scheduled to begin on Monday, 22 February.
Andy Fraser, Operating Company Representative, Scotland TranServ, said: "This upgrading scheme will benefit road users using the A75 entering Mossyard."
Traffic management including a one-way alternating traffic light will be in place.
