A new gym hall has been opened at a primary school in Edinburgh.

Over £1 million was spent on developing the new facility for Blackhall Primary School.

Previously, the building was used as a dining hall and for other school activities.


The project was delivered by hub South East Scotland and Morrison Construction.

Councillor Paul Godzik said: "Building this fantastic new facility is evidence of the Capital Coalition's commitment to upgrading and improving our schools. We have three new high schools opening this year and our Wave 4 school investment programme has identified a further seven schools we want to replace."
