Council Redevelops Play Park In East Dunbartonshire

A project to redevelop a play park in East Dunbartonshire is now complete.

A £41,000 cash boost from the council enabled works to be carried out at the park in Campsie Drive, Milngavie.

The community facility was upgraded as part of the council's ten-year Capital Play Programme and its Open Space Strategy.

One hundred nearby households were consulted over the design of the new play park, with the most popular design being built over the last few months.

Councillor Ashay Ghai said: "This is nothing short of a transformation. Before, there were a few swings and a climbing frame. Now it's a modern, well-equipped play park which I am sure is going to be a much-welcomed amenity for local children and families."
