Robertson Timber Engineering has secured a number of contracts to provide materials for six schools currently under construction in Scotland.
It is understood the deals are worth around £2.4 million.
Robertson will provide timber frame solutions at:
• Bilston Glen and Southdale School in Midlothian
• Kilpatrick School in Dunbartonshire
• St Margaret's Primary School in Cowie
• Albyn School in Aberdeen
• St Ninians Primary School in Stirling
The company will supply and erect the timber frame at each site, including structural Glu-Lam frames, roof cassettes and engineered timber panels.
Mike Turner, MD of Robertson Timber Engineering, said: " Demand for timber continues to soar and it is ideally suited to the education sector. Not only is the kit high-performance but the speed of build is reduced giving a quicker return on investment.
"We have real experience of delivering in the education sector, with UHI Inverness and Redwell Primary School in Alloa being recent projects of note."
