A construction worker has been killed during work to build a new bridge in Aberdeen.
Ian Walker, 58, from Dundee, died at the Third Don Crossing site yesterday, 13 January.
Emergency services were called to the Danestone area at approximately 4:45pm.
However, Mr Walker was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland initially said they had responded to reports that a site worker had been injured.
An Aberdeen City Council spokeswoman said: “We offer our deepest condolences to the family.
"We are working with the police and HSE to establish what happened and so cannot comment any further."
Construction has been suspended and an investigation is now underway.
