VHE has secured an £11 million contract to deliver a 'major' remediation scheme in Glasgow.
The design and build contract covers all 50 hectares of the Sighthill Transformation Regeneration Area project.
Almost 800 new homes will be built along with new roads and pedestrian bridges, amenity parkland, a new school and sports campus as well as student accommodation.
The project will see the remediation of historical contamination both ex-situ and in-situ in particular Galligu, as well as demolitions, deep grouting, drainage diversions and infrastructure works.
VHE has previously carried out remediation projects in Glasgow, such as the the Commonwealth Games Athletes Village site and successfully treating Hexavalent Chromium at Shawfield.
Work is due to begin on site in later this month.
