NHS Borders has submitted plans to develop a new medical centre in the Scottish Borders region.
The proposals, which were submitted in December, involve building the new facility on the site of a former ambulance depot in Galashiels.
The current building on Roxburgh Street would be levelled and replaced with a new development accommodating medical staff.
In additional, 21 spaces are incorporated in the facility, which was designed by Aitken Turnbull Architects.
Four additional spaces for paramedics and an ambulance has also been included.
Jane Davidson, the chief executive of NHS Borders, said the first stage of building will begin in May this year.
Plans were previously delayed for the site after the Scottish Environment Protection Agency raised concerns over flooding.
