Construction work is underway on a new £8.9 million primary school and nursery campus in West Dunbartonshire.
The school is being built by Morgan Sindall for hub West Scotland in Dumbarton.
The new Bellsmyre Primary School will replace the existing Aitkenbar and St Peter's Primary Schools. In addition, it will be developed along with a new Early Education and Childcare Centre to replace the existing Andrew B Cameron Centre.
Both schools will share a range of features including a dining hall, an assembly hall, a gym and a playground.
Harry Thorburn, MD of Morgan Sindall in Scotland, said: "We are proud to be delivering this key project for hub West Scotland.
"Providing a high quality environment is vital to successful education, and our experience of similar joint campus projects will support West Dunbartonshire Council's first co-location venture."
Debbie McNamara, CEO at hub West Scotland, added: "We are working in partnership with West Dunbartonshire Council delivering over £80 million of its major investment programme.
"Bellsmyre Primary School is the most progressed school project in construction and we are pleased with the progress made by the team."
The development is part of the council's plan to update its schools estate.
